DIY Snowflake Earrings

Add a little wintery sparkle to your Christmas outfit with some crystal-studded snowflakes and sparkly crystal rondelles. Here's what you'll need to make these earrings: 2 crystal studded silver snowflake charms  (these are similar)   2 10mm Night Blue Swarovski glass pearls 2 6mm silver crystal rondelles 2 Silver Plated Tulip Bead Caps 2 12mm silver star-shaped bead caps 7cm fine silver cable chain 2 silver ball head pins 2 4mm silver jump rings 2 ball end silver earring wires chain nose pliers, round nose pliers and flush cutters String the glass pearl , 4-petal bead cap, star-shaped bead cap and rondelle onto a head pin. Place the jaws of the chain nose pliers against the rondelle and bend the head pin above the jaw so you have a short neck. Place the round nose pliers in the bend and form a loop. Stars and Christmas go together like hot cocoa and marshmallows!  Think about it — those twinkling stars in the wintry night sky mirror the sparkle and magic of the holiday season.  The star atop the Christmas tree isn't just a decoration; it's a symbol of the guiding star that led the Wise Men to Bethlehem, marking the birthplace of Jesus. Peacock Inspired Bridal Hair Accessory

Over the last few weeks I've teased you with sneak peeks of the Bridal Hair Accessory that I made for my new daughter in law. You've been asking to see it.... and I've been promising to show it. And now I can finally unveil it... I love the contemporary cut of the stylised Swarovski crystal leaves and the sparkle they add. It's an elegantly understated piece.... perfectly suited to the bride's simple, modern tastes. A lot of bridal jewellery seems to be composed of just clear crystals but with the Bride choosing not to wear a veil, it was a great opportunity to include some colour in the way of sapphire crystals to tie in with the bridesmaids' beautiful royal blue gowns.  They too wore some of the wire swirls and crystals in their hair.  And the asymmetrical design was created with the Bride's hair style in mind - long, and swept off to one side.
