That's My Design!

Today I'm going to take you back in time to a bangle challenge I was set at CHA last year: decorate seven prototype, oval-shaped Diy Bangles with only the materials I had on hand in my hotel room. And the reason for the challenge? Well, it was to come up with a bangle design for the packaging of the new Diy Bangles oval shaped bangle . Here's 6 of the designs: But in all, I designed 7 bangles and the one that Diy Bangles selected as the image design for the packaging was Zentangle Bangle! And here it is, on the packaging...... Autumn Blooms

This month I have a feature article in the October issue of Crafts 'n Things - an elegant vintage-inspired necklace in soft, muted autumnal tones. You can see it in all it's autumnal glory over at the Crafts 'n Things website. I haven't seen Crafts 'n Things at newsagencies in Australia which is a shame because it's a great general crafting magazine with something in it for every crafter; there are projects for stampers, card makers, beaders, cross-stitchers, knitters, quilters.... the list goes on. It's a bumper magazine, but beware..... the October issue is full of Halloween inspired projects! I really wanted to get hold of this magazine and being the impatient person that I am, I went online to subscribe to the digital edition so I don't have to wait for it to arrive in the mail. A 6 issue sub cost less than $20! The great thing about the digital version is that the print quality is excellent so I can print off the projects I want to try without......

Procrastination - a mighty beast

Well, here we are! It's December 31st... New Year's Eve 2010. Tomorrow we start a new year and we all hope to start afresh resolving to improve this and change that. And like everyone who makes a New Year's resolution, I want to succeed, not fail! So I will not sabotage myself before the year starts. I will make just one promise to myself..... to procrastinate less. Not "to stop procrastinating" but just to procrastinate LESS. I procrastinate in all areas of my life: at home; in my work life; in my studio; everywhere! The procrastination monster is a mighty beast that is hard to tame so I will be happy to just control it a little bit better than I do at the moment! So here's to 2011 - and to less procrastination.
