Earrings to Make for the Holidays - Silver Trees

The holiday season is the perfect time to get creative, and these adorable Christmas Tree earrings are a must-make for any crafter looking to add a touch of sparkle to their festive wardrobe! While the origin of this delightful idea is a mystery (I'd love to give credit to them), it's undoubtedly one of the cutest and most charming projects you can tackle this season.

They're super QUICK and EASY to make, perfect for those of us who find ourselves short on time in the lead-up to Christmas.

If you're feeling luxurious, you can craft them using Swarovski crystals for an extra special touch. But don’t worry if you’re on a budget—Chinese crystals offer a beautiful, affordable alternative without compromising on the festive shine. I made mine with mirror-finish silver crystals, but you can make them in any colour you like!

Materials needed:
2 x silver headpins
2 earring wires

Step 1. Thread the beads on to the headpin beginning with the cube:

Step 2. Next comes the margaritas, in descending order starting from the 14mm crystal. Add a daisy spacer between each margarita.

Step 3. Top it off with the Preciosa bicone for the star.

Step 4. Then create a wrapped loop to keep all the beads snug and secure on the head pin. Follow these instructions for making a wrapped loop.

Step 5. Open the loop on the earring wire, attach the Christmas Tree and close it firmly.

Repeat these very easy steps to complete the matching earring and you're done!

Because they're so quick to put together, they make great gifts for teachers and workmates. When you present these little beauties, you're sure to receive a few oohs and ahhs.

'Til next time.....
